I just wonder if anyone has the alleged graphic problem with your vaio series. I got AR51J with 8400m GT early this year. So far it works fine, but not sure it would die shortly :smileysad:. What's the sony's response?

Could someone pls tell me how I can contact someone from Vaio support without having to pay 35 p a minute.
My FZ11s has been suffering the GPU fault for some 3 months (Ive bought a Dell in the meantime and left the FZ in the corner).
Now I have read this I am keen to get my old lappy going again.
Many thanks and fingers crossed

Hello,
I'm from France, and my VGN-C2Z/B started yesterday to show strange red lines at VAIO startup logo and blue ones during VISTA booting.
t
After the boot process a blue screen appears telling that graphic card drivers have encountered a problem.
I've restored all the system, done a total reset even pulled off my battery and A/C cables and pushed 30s the on/off switch.
I've seen that sony are concerned by faulty nvidia chips and I called the hotline.
A very careful agent has recorded my case seriously and I'm waiting for the callback in two hours they told.
I will keep in touch here to share my experience with vaio support.
Regards.
From yesterday night i am also facing the vertical line in my laptop while starting.

Hi all, My vaio has been also picked up. Let us hope for best.
Choked up, Just a query, Did they give nay details what they repaired and changed in laptop?
Now I don't trust sony service any more. I got my Vaio back two weeks ago. It has worked fine after the repair (motherboard changed due to graphics card failure) until yesterday. Same problem again. The graphics card is disabled (code 43) I called Sony again and now they tell me that the computer will be more deeply examined than before. But obviously there is something wrong with the graphics card. Now I don´t know when I'm going to get it back again. A little disappointing...
