Nvidia Go7400 with Windows 7

For 4 years, this forum was my only solution for all my problems using my Vaio notebook, and I thank you for that! So I'm hoping this time would be the same!

So anyway, my problem is the following:
I installed Windows 7 recently (got a Genuine copy from the company I work in) and everything works perfectly except for the Graphic card which was working with very basic compatibility.
I tried searching for the drivers, none had worked!
My last solution was using the Recovery Sony DVD's (which were made for XP) so I found the driver, installed it and it worked, but still not in full capacity (Aero was working but lacking some features)
Also the other problem was: whenever I tried to open a Windows game, it gives me the famous blue screen, also I got the blue screen when I ran the Aero troubleshooter.

So, I'm guessing the problem would be a driver's problem, since the only driver that worked was released in 2006 and it's designed for xp.
Also note that I tried looking for the driver on the Vaio support site, but it wasn't avaliable for my VGN-FE31B.
Note again that I previously had Vista Ultimate and Aero was working perfectly, so did the Go7400 driver. (but I couldn't remember how I got that driver!!)

So, if you'd please show me the appropriate driver for the it (I bet vista's driver works too)

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hassane.

Hi HassanE,

there is a Sony Vista nVidia Video Driver - 7.15.10.9813 available on the Vaio support site for your model Vaio, use the following link to download: nVidia Video Driver - 7.15.10.9813

If the link doesn't work correctly try the following..

To open Vaio support, either click Support at the top of this page or use the following link:Vaio support

Under Log-in option 2: Select your VAIO model, next to Select Model Category - Select your model from the drop down list, in your case VGN FE

Then next to Select Model - select FE31B

Then click Log-In

Once logged select Downloads, the click on the Vista tab.

Under the drivers heading click on nVidia Video Driver - 7.15.10.9813 and follow the installation instructions..
