partition hard drive

i have a vaio sve1512j6eb. it has only one drive.i want to partition the hard drive. how can i do it????

Hi tomal_n and welcome..

Just like in Windows 7, you can partition your hard drive in Windows 8 by using Windows Disc Management.

i have 566gb in c drive. the way u showed i can shrink only 278gb

is there any way that i can make the partition of whole drive with recovery media(or anything) by a flash drive and the settings are same as the time i bought the laptop??
