For no apparent reason, the screen of my vaio PCG-K415B has stopped working. When I boot, the computer comes to life as it usually does: on battery or mains but there is no display.
Connecting an external monitor produces the same result - i.e. nothing.
Although I doubt that there's a straightforward solution, I'd be really grateful for any ideas.
The machine is out of warrantee so I'd be interested to know what the best procedure for repair is. If it's going to be really expensive just to get a quote, I'll just destroy this one and replace it with something else.
