Pentium 4 Processor Hyperthreading

I have a PCG-GRT815E Notebook
It has a 2.8GHz Pentium 4
The motherboard chipset is the sis-648

I cant seem to find any info about the motherboard - I was thinking of upgrading the processor to a P4 with Hyperthreading technology -(due to a family member working at intel)!

There is mention that the sis-648 supports Hyperthreading with B-stepping
What I want to try determine really is if the motherboard will support it?

That's due to the fact Asus make them specially for Sony. Your best bet is using Everest Home Edition

You can only use a HT Cpu if the mainboard supports it,and thats down to the chipset and Bios also supporting it too.
