How do a alter the colour and contrast on my laptop monitor???

Also when running my laptop plugged into a Sony LCD TV can the laptop show the ideal resoultion for itself and for the LCD independently (ie two different resoultion outputs)or does it have to be a clone?

Sorry but im totally new to laptops!!

Here you go. Right click on the desktop to bring up the NVIDIA control panel and click

To adjust the color settings using a color correction graph

From the View menu, select Advanced View.

From the NVIDIA Control Panel Select a Category... page, select Display.

Select Adjust Desktop Color Settings to open the page.

If applicable, select the display on which you want to adjust color settings.

Click the Graph tab.

Click the Channel list to select a color channel. You can adjust the Red, Green, and Blue channels by selecting each color separately or by selecting the composite choice All, which is the default setting.

When you select a color channel, notice that the color appears in the color correction graph.

To preview the color-corrected image, use the Preview image choices.

the resolution of your TV should be what it is capable of...for example I have a HD projector but it is only capable of 720progressive whereas the AR automatically gives me 1080interlaced which is like an emulated bandwidth not streaming directly (progressive) for best results. This can cause horizontal lines when faster action scenes occur as the refresh rate is needing to be upsized. Best thing to do is set the display settings to match exactly the capability of the TV.
