The battery icon on my browser shows plugged in, Vaio optimized, but only reaches 80% level, and will not charge to 100%, ( plugged in not charging ), it looks as if my settings are wrong or the battery is faulty ?
Can anyone advise a new setting to get a full charge, as up to 80% the charge is fine.

Hi topogigio and welcome to the forum.

It would seem that the battery care function is enabled. If you use the notebook generally on mains power then this is the best setting as it avoids battery degradation.

To change these settings click Start > All Programs > Vaio Control Center > Power Management > Battery Care Function – uncheck Enable Battery Care Function.
