Hello,
I am new to vaio but i was just given this sony vaio VGN-AR31S laptop. I updated it to windows 7 but there was a problem : the nvidia GeForce Go 7600 GT card is now registered as simple VGA card and I cannot view HD movies any more. I tried to update the driver with windows, with the official nvidia website but it does not change a thing...
Does anybody have a piece of advice for me?
Thanks and best regards

Hi julesaugier,
Have you installed Win 7 32 Bit or 64 Bit?
If the former then try installing the Vista driver from the Support site.
http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-AR31S/updates
If 64 Bit you will need to find a Nvidia driver plus modified INF file for the system to allow installation.
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ - Read the quick start guide towards the bottom of the page.
This procedure will of course be at your own risk.

First right click on the driver setup file and select " TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBILITY" option. Tick the program worked in earlier version of windows, click next, then select windows vista, click next and click next again to install the driver.
