Problem with wireless connection to local network
I bought new Sony VGN-NW20 laptop last week with Windows 7.
Everything works fine except one very annoying thing: if I use wireless connection I can not connect my local home network.
Using wireless connection I can see network shares and list of the files, but can not copy files from network to local folder.
This problem does not relates to file sharing only,
I can not use wireless connection to access database server located on the another home machine.
There are no problems with router configuration or security setting on the laptop itself because once network cable is connected everything works just fine.
And using wireless I can browse Internet and download big sized files, no problem with that.
Clearly there is a software problem with wireless interface.
To prove that I booted latest Linux Ubuntu live CD and wireless worked fine with local machines - I copied files form local network share with no problem at all.
Is it known problem with Sony laptops or this is just unlucky me?
Is there known receipt how to fix that or any idea what I could try.
I think I can return this laptop and get another one, but I am afraid another Sony laptop will suffer the same problem.
