Hi, I would like to upgrade my vaio equipped with 512mb ram to the maximum amount. On Kingston I've seen it may load up to 2gb, but is it true? My datasheet specifies a maximum amount of 1GB. Have I necessarly to buy from kingston or sony (which are really too expensive) or is there a way to understand the minimum and correct requirements for buying so-dimm modules that will fit? is it ok if they reflect these parameters?
2700 512mb ram so dimm 2.5 ?
best all

Guten Morgen
The Max-MEM from your Notebook is 1GB. You can't get more.
For more details from the RAM use Everest Home Edition .
I wouldn't use original SonyVaio RAM. Too expensive and you don't have this in your Vaio. The original RAM from my Vaio is from Samsung.
You must look for the compatibility. The most of the Manufacturer have a list.
Sorry Sony
Guten Tag, also...
da ich heute mein Vaio nicht mitgenommen habe, gibts den jemand der den everest software au seinem Vaio vgn a115 d/l darf und hier posten welche art von ram hat?
I havn't got my vaio vgn a115 with me today. is there someone out there who may install everest software to tell me the specific of installed ram?
Hi thycoon,
I think you must use :
DDR-SD RAM PC2700(333MHz)
200 Pin
and I think CL2,5
but I'm not certain
Why not try Crucial?
Click HERE to upgrade your RAM. Crucial have a Memory Matcher which works with Sony VAIO Laptops (ALL models) so you can be assured that the RAM you buy will work with your computer. They even have a help line if you get really stuck.
They are also quite competitively priced too.
