So people would be better off buying an I Pod with it's support that the AP1L Lacks.

LOL, that wouldnt solve your problem. The battery of the iPod is not replaceable too.

I've been making some research and found nothing up to now for a vaio replacement battery (even sony.com did not know how...!). The thing is that 3rd party battery manufacturers do often attempt to make similar batteries but not always credible. For my V1 cybershot there was an engineering guy who made this extra-autonomy battery which had - though- some minor problems. There are out there manufacturers who could support us. Don't know how yet.

LOL, that wouldnt solve your problem. The battery of the iPod is not replaceable too.
It can be changed Seb, you can get AppleCare to do it for £60 or DIY for £35-50
