I'm looking for a replacement screen for an older Sony Vaio with the following specs:
Sony VAIO F Series, model VGN-FW51JF
- 27505068 5001558 -
Service Tag
C602W6D3 or GD3
Model PCG-3J1M
And the screen is a Sharp LQ164M1LA4A
9XR57616
I am asking because I can't seem to find it anywhere, and where they do supposedly advertise it as being available, after a short call or e-mail their answer is in the negative: haven't seen or had one in years. One "support specialist" even asked me if I used Google to search for the screen model...
Even though I switched to a newer model, I find myself still very much attached to that laptop and wish to repair it if possible. In this regard, Sony has provided little to no help whatsoever.
