Replacing HDD in Sony VAIO VGN-FS295VP

Hi,
Can anyone help me i would like to replace the HDD in my vaio with the largest the mother board will take can anyone tell mewhere i can find this infomation, also does anyone know if the sony resroation disc i created when i fisrt and my laptop reinstall windows xp onto the new HDD.
