I have a very annoying problem for some days now and every help will be appreciated.
I have a FE 21 M.
From time to time my screen turns black for a second.
This happens rarely but the last few days it has happened more often and sometimes about 40-50 times in a row.
I allready have made format, put new drivers for the Nvidia Geforce 7600 that is on, reput the old drivers after I had no success, but nothing happened.
The lastfew days I noticed that it instantly and randomly turns off the wireless connection and reconnects again the same time that the black screens appear.
I've make a lot of research in the web but found no answer. Does anybody PLEASE have any idea???
Anyone help?
ANYONE???
Hi Sougie,
It does not look like anyone else has had this problem.
If you have installed the latest BIOS Update R0130J3 and latest nVidia driver and that does not help, you will need to contact the official Sony support at Vaio-Link: -
http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/contacts/contacts.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&tp=vaio&cc=el_GR
or try a local repairer if the Vaio is out of warranty.
Have you installed all the updates for your model from here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/updates/updates.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&c=0&s=VGN-FE&m=2277...
is it doing when on battery power or also on mains? if the former it may be a power problem, ie battery weak.
Thanks a lot for the responce.
The problem is happening when the laptop is plugged in ac. I have it like this always because the battery is very weak after two years.
Now I'm installing the new bios and I'll keep in touch for the results.
Thanks again and any new ideas are welcome...
