heyyya! .. i bought a sony laptop (VGN-A517B) 9 months ago and quite recently I have been having problems with the screen. Im starting to see purplish lines on the screen. I mean aren't 'x-black' screens supposed 2 be the best?

the lines move both in an upward/downward direction and measure the width of the screen .. it's reeeeeeli bugging me as I cant see pictures or watch movies or play games!!! .. plzzzz helpp .. I don't wana be sending off my laptop 2 Sony purely because theyre gona takes agesss and I need it for university work .. what do i doooo?!

Try installing new Graphics Drivers from the Hardware vender,instead of Sony's.You could also try a system restore,that can help with most problems.However try the new drivers first,a system restore is a last resort.
