Hello, i have a problem ...

I have set the action on screen closing to do "nothing", and on power button to hibernate.
(I tell you this just to let you know my current power settings).

Now, when i close the screen, and open it up again after some time, the screen will not power up. Stays black, even tough under that the OS is up and running (Receving msn messages and such ... ).

Any help ? Others have this problem? What the hell could it be?
Its a new notebook so im kinda "wtf?" on this ...

I have the same Model of Notebook but not the same problem

try to update the power managment tool, updates should be available on sony vaio support page.

If this doesn't help to solve the issue, you can re-install the factory settings.
You need the recovery disks for this or restart and do it over the hidden partition.

I assume you have Vista, you will definatly need to update the power managment tool.

If you haven't got Vista, than I think its an problem with the tool itself, sicne the Vaio supportpage only supports our model with Vista drivers and applications.
