Hi everyone. Recently, for some reason, the scroll feature on my laptop's touch pad has stopped working. As far as I know, I've done nothing that would change this, and I've even tried tinkering with the computer's mouse settings, but nothing seems to work. My model number is VPCCW17FX, and the actual touch pad is made where there's no visible scroll bar, though moving my finger on the rightmost side of the pad acts as such. (or has in the past, I should say). Does anyone have any input on this matter?
Start 'VAIO Control Center'
Select Keyboard and Mouse
Select Pointing Device
Click Advanced
Check the touchpad specific tabs in the window that opens.
For my VAIO, the one with the scrolling function is 'Function', but your's might be named differently.
Well, when I clicked on "advaned", I got a message that said something about the pointing device not being installed correctly. So I re-installed it and that did the trick. Thanks!
Ha, I missed that possiblity! =]
I'm happy I could help you find the solution.
