Silence is definitely not golden!!

Anyone any idea as to why my vaio might be enjoying a silent world? Speakers working fine 24 hours ago and now not working at all.... Help!!
Messsage it is giving me is that there is a problem with the sound device eg I dont have one (but I do cos it was working), it might be in use by another program (no other programs running) or it might not be funtioning properly - good guess computer but why?? Anyone have any ideas... I quite like the music!!

Are there any warning signs in device manager...?

Try doing a system restore (not Recovery) to a time when your sound was working..

System restore can be found in Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools, then click system restore..:smileyhappy:
