It says I have to initializate my VP.
I go to initializations menu, I do it but it doesn't work.
What can I do?
nice proposal...but still sony will reply in ways as "we have already stated that we admit the mp3 mistake we made"
and then nothing will change:smileylaugh:
it is a never-ending fight with these international companies...
If we dont try, nothing good will happen and we will accept the "format at each updgrade" policy. I dont want that. I prefer buying another pocket player.
so :
http://www.PetitionOnline.com/vaiovgf/petition.html
Spread it on every mp3 player forum you known, send it to other vaio users.
And send a copy to sony support when you sign it !
are you sure that this can really change things?
i suppose it doesnt hurt to try but sony is a hugr company and produces millions of products so they might just not care about just one of them.specially now that the new vaio pocket is on the way...:smileycry:

9 signatures now
I've signed the petition too, I would be most surprised if they can pull off some decent software, seems the R&D only goes into design and manufacturing. Please hire some decent people who can programme decent software which could turn Sony products into something quiet good...

Just 8 signatures yet!
Are you sure 8 can change Sony's mind?
to be honest i think this petition would get more support if everybody on here discussed exactly how to phrase a petition and what exactly our priorities are. as it is at the moment i don't really see it getting lots of signatures, and if someone else does one for video layback then sony may be presented with 4 or 5 petitions with no more than a dozen signatures each, which they can fairly legitimately file as not being the view of many people. there's also a fair few spelling/grammar mistakes, which don't really help. don't get me wrong, i think it's a good idea and whoever started it may well be responsible for getting the ball rolling, but i think it could better address the problems if it was written with input from more users on here.

Of course 8 signatures will do nothing. A lot of signatures can.. Of course if you dont try, nothing will happen, that's certain.
Maybe sony is right... user are sheeps.. they aren't happy with a crappy thing, but all they can say is "whatever" ... Sad.
the petition is new, and posted only on some forums. But like all petition, it need to be spread, with the help of the people who are concerned. Yes, that's us (or maybe you are a good sheep ?)
i signed the petition but still i think it didnt make much difference...
as for the text itself,i know that the author is trying for the best but it needs some re-writing as it is not clearly understood in some places...
