Sony Vaio CS 31S fan noise concerns

Hi to all,

I just recently bought a Sony Vaio Cs31s. Its been with me for less than a month and I have just been reading the threads here about the Vaio CS11 series. Apparently, there a lots of buyers of this cs series having fan problems. It got me concerned up to the point that I noticed that my laptop is making this tiny bit of whirring noise when the fan start to slow down or stop. Its a bit more noticeable when I turn on the laptop. Although it is not that apparent I am worried that this is going to get worse...

Does anybody else have a fan problem with their CS31S?? Do you think this is just a normal noise coming from the fan?...would really appreciate for some responses

I had the same thing twice with Sony Vaio CS11S! The first appeared after 6 months' work, it was unbearably so I made the laptop fixed by after sales service! And now again the problem has occurred and I'm trying to get out of the situation one more time.

It seems that there is some fabrication or conception problem with this model of Vaio 😞

If you're concerned then I suggest you contact Sony Vaio support, you can do this either by clicking Support at the top of this page or use the following link:Vaio support

Under Log-in option 2: Select your VAIO model, next to Select Model Category - Select your model from the drop down list, in your case VGN CS.

Then next to Select Model - select CS31S

Then click Log-In

Once logged select Get In Touch

Also once you are logged in you may wish to read an announcement Sony made recently..

When logged in to the Vaio support site type Fan Noise into the search box and click on the search magnifying glass.

Under the words Useful Links, click on Continuous loud or abnormal fan noise

You should now see announcement.

Just had my laptop picked up today to be sent to Teleplan UK. I have my fingers crossed as to what the outcome might be.They said its going to be after 5 working days that Im going to get my laptop back..Reading the threads about CS11s made me worry about it.
