Sony Vaio EB2 and 1Tb HDD

I am looking to upgrade the hard drive in my vaio beucase I am a music tech student and require alot of HDD space and have come accross a 1TB hdd but it is 12.5mm tall instead of the usual 9mm and just need clarification as to whether this will still fit as it is an expensive mistake if it does not fit in my vaios HDD bay.

No, you need a drive that will fit into a standard 9.5mm drive bay.

This means you need to find a drive with TWO platters rather than THREE as in the WD.  These are just coming out now and probably most manufacturers will have one soon - but if you want one now, try to find the Samsung Spinpoint M8 1TB drive - it is just out now you may have to wait for it to become freely available: -
