Hi there!
I have a VAIO media centre (model: VGX XL-201) and cannot get its original keyboard (model: VGP-WKB4) to sync/connect. It should be an easy "1, 2, 3 process" by clicking both units "Connect" button and having them closer than a 20cm distance, but it just doesn't happen...
Is there any tool that allows me to check whether the computer or the keyboard is not functioning?
It seems to me that this keyboard only works with these XL series w/o having a standard communication protocol (not bluetooth), so it's difficult to test, as I don't know anyone who has one.
Can anyone provide some help?
The VAIO Support website does not recognise this model serial number...
Thanks in advance!

It sounds like a faulty keyboard. Does the Vaio work OK using a USB wired or wireless keyboard?
I don't think replacement keyboards are generally available, so you can choose to get a third party wireless keyboard or have a word with Sony Support to see if they can suggest a way forward.
If you click on SUPPORT at the top of this page, choose CONTACT SONY SUPP ORT, GET IN TOUCH and then OUT-OF-WARRANTY SUPPORT.
