Sony Vaio VPC-EB4Z1E/BQ sound problem

Hi,

I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB4Z1E/BQ, I installed the windows that came with him, everything ok except the sound, my build in speakers don't work, when I plug in my external spearks the sound works. Is it a hardware problem or driver problem ? Thanks.

i have the same model from last week and i don't have this problem; everything is going well. You should go to service.

Hi John,

You can reinstall Quick Web Access from the Recovery Partition.

1. Start
2. All Programs
3. Vaio Care -> Open
4. Select Recovery & Restore -> Recovery
5. On the next screen choose Reinstall Applications and Drivers
6. Check the box next to Quick Web Access -> Next and follow screen instructions.

Uninstall audio drivers completely and then install the driver that is working.

1. Click Start,type Device Manager in the Start Search box, and then pressENTER.

2. In the Device Manager dialog box, expandSound, video, and game controllers.

3. Locate the audio device that was included with the computer.

3. Right-click the device, and then clickProperties.

4. Click theDriver tab, and then click Uninstall.

5. Place a check mark next to"Delete the Driver Software for this device" check box, and then click OK.

6. Install the driver that is working.

7. Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
