Sony VGN AR21S and Vista

I have had my Windows Vista Home Premium upgrade, from Moduslink, for many weeks now, but have been put-off installing it, based on the issues that I have seen raised, on this and other forums.

Is there any one out there, who has an AR21S and has recently, SUCCESSFULLY installed Vista. I would be very grateful to receive some positive replies if there are any, as I am frustrated that I have the OS and am worried about what can go wrong instead of what can go right!!

I have an AR21S and I installed the Vista Upgrade when I received it. I really enjoyed playing around with it for a while and burnt lots of DVDs using Windows DVD Maker. In the end I came to the conclusion that there are just too many things wrong with Vista and went back to XP. Here are just a few of the things that I didn't like about Vista...

Your remote will stop working the first time Vista goes into a suspend mode (I can't remember if it's sleep or hibernate).
The screen won't always come back on after Vista goes into a suspend mode (see above).
Lots of programs won't work under Vista without a lot of jiggerypokery.
Some programs will work one day and not the next and vice versa.
A few programs won't work. Ever!

My advice is to wait for a few months till MS releases a service pack which should hopefully sort out some of the major bugs. Don't get frustrated about having the upgrade and not using it. Think of it like this... By getting the Express Upgrade now you got a genuine copy of Vista for £20 instead of £100+ in a few months!
