STARTUP ERROR ???????

I have a problem with my VAIO laptop: when I turn it on, it doesn't start. The harddisk led blinks, but the screen is black. Does anyone know how to solve it?
Another thing: does anybody know how to reset the bios?

Try the following:
on the bottom of your VAIO there is a tiny little hole somewhere (you didn't mention which model have ).
1 Remove the battery
2. Remove the AC-adapter
3. Take e.g. a paper clip and poke it through that little hole about 2-3mm until you can feel a little switch.
4. press and hold for about 5-7 seconds

reinsert battery and try again
