Stop Recovery bootup and revert to regular c: drive

I have a Vaio that was accidentally booted into recovery by someone hitting F10 at bootup trying to change the bios settings. It was powered down before it finished booting, but now only the recovery partition is visible. Is it possible to un-hide the old boot partition as I am guessing it still exists. I need to get some important stuff off of it.

this happened with me too, transfer ur files to an external hard or network walkman then hit F10 again and make a full recovery. the manual says that.

I would, except the original c: drive is not visible, so I can't copy the files over. I need to be able to un-hide the original c: drive partition if it's still there.

the recovery partition is still there dont worry, it wont work if u accessed it through start / programs / vaio recovery, but it will be working through F10. when the recovery partition is not hidden, it makes a corruption in the drives letters. even if u tried system restore it wont work. So the recovery partition is C or only hidden?

The recovery partition is currently the c: drive

ok try pressing F10 then when u get the recovery utility press cancel and exit recovery utility properly without recovering ur pc.
my vaio showed the recovery partition as an extra one but the c was still there!
