can any one help?
Do I need to replace memory in pairs in my RZ422P?
I have the following installed and I want to install a 1GB PC-3200 DDR SDRAM 400 Mhz.
will I have to place 2x512MB sticks?
Slot 1 : 256 Mb
Slot 2 : 256 Mb
Slot 3 : Empty
Slot 4 : Empty
thanks for any help

If it's RDRAM it'll have to be 2 more 256MB sticks
Otherwise if it's SDRAM just get a 1GB stick
This particular series comes with various configurations of memory, but all have banks of 1 - yours has four 4 banks of 1, thus you can install one module at a time in any of the 4 banks.
Have a look at the Crucial site for further information and use the Crucial system scanner.
As they are offering a 1GB module, and guarantee that it is compatible, there should be no problems.
thanks guys for the info

I asked a few weeks ago about memory and you gave me great information. I purchased a 1GBPC-3200 DDR 400mhz stick. When I install it the monitor will not work.
Do you know if the pc supports duel channel (memory with chips on both sides of the stick?
I will welcome any help
