HAS ANYONE SUCCESSFULLY UPGRADED THE HARD DRIVE ON A SONY VAIO T2XP FROM THE FACTORY 60gb ONE AND IF SO WHAT DID YOU PUT IN AND HOW DO YOU GET THE LAPTOP APART TO GET TO THE HARD DRIVE ?
Hi ALLYTUBE and welcome.
The T-Series Vaios use the very small 1.8 inch hard drive - as used in iPods everywhere!
This sort of drive used to be 60GB max for years but I think they are now available for larger sizes - try Google.
There are two types of interface and you will need to find out which one you have fitted in your Vaio. You must get one with the same interface you have already. There is either a Hitachi type of a Toshiba type. You may be able to find out from Device Manager.
If not you will have to take your Vaio apart. If you send me your email address by PM, I will send you the full instructions.
Good Luck.
