UJ810 (B) dvdrw help

have had a v1 for a couple of years now dvdrw went last year poss water on disk anay way found a uj810
(b) on ebay works ok spinning up but wont play system gives a different part no BG2845I ISU458A came from a tohiba A60 laptop any help would be much appreciated

treid every thing i can think of un install and re instal stil no joy same name still coming up do i need to change the reg??

have had answer back from sony e support no help whatso ever have been advised that i will have to flash the drive with the correct firm ware to make it work but can only do this from dos has any one got any advice for me many thanks lee
