umts modem Huawei E220 (USB)

My Vaio VGN-S4M doesn't like this - it doesn't even mount the flash drive - installation impossible - any good ideas out there ???

You are not the first and will not be the last.
This card doesn't work with Vaio.
The problem seems to have no solution.
Vodaphone and KPN use this brand, and in the shop they confirm that this card is incompatible. Why, nobody knows.
I had contact with an expert from Sony. He would think about a solution. (2months now) I have given up and bought another laptop to combine with my UMTS card (works without any problem!!)

Hello!,

I work correctly from a couple of months with UMTS HUAWEI PCMCIA.
I had some trouble with drives, because my computer (VAIO VGN-S2XP) recognized it as it was diferent. I reset my compunter, clean drivers, and reinstall software folowing carrier instructions (Movistar, spain).
