I have a PCG-GRX316MP which, after installing Nero burning software, does not recognise that there is a Cd drive (CRX810E) plugged into it.
If I put the recovery disk in it will boot up with it, so the drive itself is functioning Ok.
When looking at device manager a problem with the drive is flagged.
I would guess that there is an edit of the registry required... but where.
I really don't want to reformat the HD.. but if the worst comes to the worst..so be it.
Any/all help appreciated
