Upgrading vgn-a317m to 7200RPM and 2GB RAM???

Is this possible? Which hard disk do I need?
Also Sony told me the MAX RAM I could install was 1024 even the spec says max is 2GB. Are there now chips available to do this?

The maximum ram that can be installed on your A317M according to the specs is 2048mb..

The maximum module size is 1024mb of which you can fit two, crucial.com guarrantee that these modules will be compatible with you Vaio..:smileyhappy:

You need a SATA 2.5 inch hard drive.

Have a look at THESE SATA DRIVES

The Seagate Momentus looks good - I'm sure they also do a 100GB 7200rpm SATA.
