USB issue in Create Recovery Media - SVT1313S1ES

I can reset my laptop (windows 😎 with the factory backup partition with the vaio care program.

But I also want this recovery media partition on my usb drive so I can change ssd in the future for example.

The recovery media wizard can't find my 32gb sandisk usb stick, it doesn't find it.

I can see the usb drive when I plug it in. It is visible in "my computer"

What am I doing wrong in terms of the usb stick? Doesn't sony vaio work with certain standard usb sticks?

Hi mervany and welcome.

Which SanDisc USB drive are you using?  It must be a USB 2.0 drive as USB drives supporting USB 3.0 cannot be used for Recovery.

Drives like the SanDisk Extreme are USB 3.0 compliant and cannot be used.

Hello,
It is the usb 2.0 one... I can't really understand why it does not show... i've tested it with fat32 and NTFs. Do I need to format it so that the laptop sees it? thank you!
