USB MOUSE PROBLEMS

Problems with the mouse after sloting into USB port
I have been having problems with the mouse I bought yesterday from sony. The pointer at some point just moves to the top, left hand of screen. Not only this, but also it sometimes disapears and the mouse needs toslightly shake it to make it reappear. I am using a new mouse mat and I have bought a new laptop. The product code for the mouse is PCGA-UMS3. Please can you advise me in this situation. If any information more is needed please mention. Thanks

Hi aayesha and welcome to the forum.

A common cause of pointer jumping with an optical mouse is the mat. Does your new mat have high contrast between colours? If using the mouse on a plane white sheet of paper eliminates the problem then buy a plain mat.

Thank you for your message. We will take your advise and see the outcome and will let you know. The mat is not vibrant but is has blue/white colours.
