big problem after formating w/ no recovery disk FE41M

Hi,

unfortunately I have a big problem with my second Vaio.
On the FE41M I had Windows Vista, it was creating me some problems with some applications, so since I had a Xp professional service pack 2 license to use I formatted the notebook installing XP.
I didn't make the recovery disks, I thought that saving only the drivers and preinstalled utilities would be enough.
But now I can't install three drivers, and one is FUNDAMENTAL: GeForce nVidia Go 7400 GPU. I've searched over the internet on many forums but I found no drivers working on XP.
So the problem is that now I can't complete the new installation of XP but at the same time I can't come back to factory preinstalled Vista version.

I kept the HDD partition called "Recovery", I guess it includes the recovery disks, but I have no way to burn it on a DVD. I installed all the preinstalled utilities I found on Vaio support web site, but there isn't the software to burn the recovery disks. Where can I find it to download?

Since I kept that partition on my HDD it seems very strange to me that I can't make the revory DVD.
Please, what can I do?

Thanks.

Hi whitewave,

Welcome to Club Vaio..

The SZ3XTP has a nVidia GeForce Go 7400 chip set so you should be able to find the drivers your require, for your FE41M, within the SZ3XTP's pre-installed drivers file which you can download from here.

As the recovery partition has not been deleted you could try pressing F10 repeatedly when starting you vaio, this normally would start the recovery process and restore your Vaio back to it's original pre-installed Vista OS and programs..
