Vaio FE31 series released?

Hey all.

I was looking a purchasing a replacement for my aging VGN-A115B, and had been tempted by a VGN-FE21M (the 'S' model appears unavailable).

Having checked on SonyStyle, however, I noticed that a new model, the VGN-FE31Z, is listed as 'shipping begins October'. I'm assuming that this is the replacement for the FE21 series, but cannot find any details on the main Sony website about this, nor if there are any other models coming out with it (FE31M, FE31S etc).



I'm quite tempted to wait, as it appears the FE31 has a sexy, darker finish compared to the FE21. Can anyone shed any more light on the advantages of this newer model, or the rest of the forthcoming series?

UPDATE:

Whilst browsing the SonyStyle website - when selecting a model of FE to find accessories for, in fact - I noticed that FE31H, FE31M and FE31Z are all listed as options.

Is it safe to assume that these gradings follow the performance conventions set by the FE21H, FE21M and FE21S? From the (limited) information available, it would appear that the FE31 models are using a superior processor to the FE21 versions...

UPDATE (II):

I think next time I'll search more thoroughly before starting a thread on here - just managed to find the full specs for all the new FE31 models, courtesy of SonyStyle (although still nothing on the main site...).

For anyone who's interested:

VGN-FE31H - Core2 Duo 1.66GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD - £899

VGN-FE31M - Core2 Duo 1.83GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD - £1,099

VGN-FE31Z - Core2 Duo 1.83GHz, 2GB RAM, 200GB HDD - £1,299

They all share their specs with the FE21 series, apart from the CPU and HDD upgrades outlined above. Oh, and the sexy new finish. I think I can wait a few weeks for one of these...
