VAIO K215Z SPEEDSTEP PROBLEM!

My K215z has a big problem with the speedstep and i think is a common problem for the K series.. if i use the battery my laptop should work at 1.6Ghz and it works at 3.06Ghz.. i have to restart my computer to work properly... does anybody knows how can i fix this?

Thank you.

It's a Pentium4 mobile, which supports only 2 steps.
Full speed and low speed. Or 3.06 and 1.6GHz on your VAIO.

A Intel Centrino CPU supports 6 different steps.

I know that.. but the problem is if i set the settings for POWER MANAGEMENT on BATTERY LIFE..it should not use the 3.06Ghz and stay only at 1.6Ghz.. (sorry for my bad English.. i think you did not understood exactly whats the problem)
And that drives me mad!!!
That's a bug that sony doesnt bother to fix it.. i read that K115 has the same problem but they could fix it by a new BIOS update.. so there's no new update for my K215z
Does anybody know how to fix this????
