Just got a windows 7 professional vaio. It has keyboard lighting which comes on and off presumably depending on the ambient light. Is there a light sensor on the machine? How can I control it?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes, there is an ambient light sensor which adjusts screen brightness and keyboard illumination. The sensor is above the keyboard - to the left of the NumLk and CapsLk indicators. If you block the sensor, the keyboard lighting will come on.
To change the backlit keyboard settings
1 Click Start, All Programs, and VAIO Control Center.
2 Click Keyboard and Mouse and Backlit KB.
