Vaio N11 Battery

I have a vaio n11h and the laptop no longer works when just running on battery power. In the power section of the control panel the battery appears as "not present". I need to know whether it is a fault with the battery or the laptop. Does anyone know of a way to check or had similar problem?

Hi niceafro and welcome.

The only way I know to check if the battery is faulty is to take your Vaio to a shop that sells Vaios (Sony Centre/ PC World) and ask if you can borrow a working battery for a few minutes to try in your laptop.

Unless you know someone with the same Vaio model.
