Hello everyone,
I just bought myself a shiny new Sony Vaio N11S and installed Vista
Ultimate. To my surprise *everything* seemed to have a driver and work
properly. Well, that was until i tried to adjust the screen brightness.
You can't. The keyboard controls don't work and there's no other way to
do it. Installing VAIO Event Service does nothing either. The service seems to start cleanly but the buttons are dead. I guess the system calls are different from XP.
Is there any way to make this work? Like a 3rd party app... i know there is one for Linux though..
Thanks.

Thanks, unfortunatelly i don't have the C:\UTILS anymore, so can you please tell me which of the standalone apps from the UTILS package (from the support site) is needed?
Thanks.
I FIXED IT !
Ok here's what you do, you copy the SonyNC folder to your root Vista
Partition (or just about anywhere) from the Preinstaled Drivers off the
Sony's support site. Go to Device Manager and click Update Driver on
that 'Unknown Device'. Choose 'go online and whatever', then it will
crawl your HDD for drivers and install Sony Notebook Control
Device by itself.
Then install VAIO Event Service. Reboot and VOILA !
Well done on fixing it
