Vaio PCG-F801 Wireless Lan Problem

G'Day!

I still got an old Vaio - and I got a problem connecting to the Internet (I'm using my new Vaio here VGN-A215M).
Or more correct - I do get contact and for about 10 to 15 minutes everything is just fine... - but than it just stops! The Software shows no problems - but I can not open the windows xp software showing the status (which I can as long as the first 10 minutes contact the the internet). I have to boot down waite awhile and than everything folws the same pattern...
I checked with my broadband provider - no problems on their side...
some laptop parameters:
windows xp with sp2
188 MB RAM
amd K6 Processor
531 MHz
Netgear USB Sick MA111
Siemens se515 router

Fair point there molasses, you are new to the forum, but possibly you over reacted to Kee-Lo¿s remark about double posting. Not a hanging crime; this forum, despite what you may think at present, is a very friendly place and we all want to keep it that way. Everyone is here to help, where we can, so chill out, treat others with respect and enjoy.

We don't moan about double posting for nothing, it's because it wastes the other masters time and ours, the question should be asked once, if we don't know the answer then call VAIO Link, it's very simple the rules here and yes this group is friendly. Just don't start insulting people when you get a telling off - you break the rules of the club you have to expect to be told to stop doing what you're doing which is wrong.

Remember you were the first to go on about me, so what if I said "damn double posters", you shouldn't do it here or anywhere on the net, it annoys the admins, moderators and others.

I bought a vaio - I was offered to join this "club".
I did - I was in for less than 6 hours and YOU started
insulting ME!!! (check the postings!)!
If you can't live with an adequate response -
you should not start picking at people!

Sorry to bring you back to reality - as much as I have no right to make rules here - you have not !!! And it will still be the same if you are up to 40000 postings!

If I may be allowed to give you a tip - no rule - it s even valid
in real life - not just virtual...
Allways give an advice friendly the first time...
You can still become unfriendly if "bad" things keep
continuing...
All this would not have happend if you would have started friendly!
If you say this is a friendly group - why arn't you?

and - believe it or not - there are forums out there -
that want you to place topics in e.g. a software
and a hardware section - double- If you can't tell if it's
a soft- or a hardware related prob...
'cause the hardware specialists don't even check the software topics and vice versa...
