VAIO PCV-RS104 and Processors

Hi

I have bought this VAIO desktop in 2002 (or 2003) in France... And I was wondering what were the processors that my motherboard could supported ? (I have a P4 2.66Ghz 478 pins now)

Does my MB support Pentium Celerons 478pins ? And frequency minimal and maximal ?
Same question for Pentium 4 : frequency minimal and maximal supported ?
Is there some limitations ?

My motherboard is a VAIO Kirin-P. I look for specifications on the net, but i find nothing. 😕 ( It seems that's an ASUStek OEM motherboard )

Thx for your help !... 😉

If you download Everest Home Edition (I believe you can still find it on download sites) it will tell you what motherboard you have and what CPU you can use.

Hello

I have tried everest, and my motherboard is ASUStek Kirin-P. But it seems that this software doesn't provide any informations about supported processors. And there is no information on Asustek's website about this motherboard...

If you go to processors, and double click yours it should say what class it is and what FSB it's running at

Ok, thank you, kee-lo.

FSB=533Mhz... So, does it means that all processors 478pins with FSB=533 (and less ? ), will run on my motherboard ?

Are you sure that there is no limitation with the SONY's bios ? (With the CPU frequency supported for exemple). Someone, elsewere, whispered me that there was a risk like this 😕 (here : http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20060724095649235&board_id=1&model=A7A133&page=1&SLanguage=en... )
