Vaio PCV W1Display woes

Just bought a vaio but i'm a bit dissapointed with the display options.

Basically, I like to use a high-res display with graphics programes, usually 1600x1200.

Now it seems I am stuck with 1280x768.

Is there anyway I can go beyond this setting ?

If that is the resolution of thescreen as standard, then that is the best you will get. The documentation says 1280*768...thats it folks !!

Then is it possible to upgrade the graphics card ?

It has nothing to do with the graphics card - The display limit is defined by the resolution of your TFT display.

You should be able to get a higher resolution if you use a suitable external monitor.
