VAIO update for MS Windows 7

Laptop Sony VAIO VGN-SZ4MRN/B

Connection to ISP via WiFi (D-Link D300 router)

Preinstalled MS Vista.

I made fresh installation of MS Windows 7.

Succefully installed VAIO Update but can't obtain any update via this application.

When 'Check for updates' button pressed I have received the following:

Automatic updates: 0

The following update programs download and install automatically.

Could not acquire the information.

Manual updates: 0

The following update programs need to be manually installed after downloading.

Click a program name to confirm the installation procedure.

Could not acquire the information.

Is anybody faced with the same problem?

Is anybody knows solution for this trouble?

Hi Paul,

There are no updates for Windows 7 because Sony does not support Windows 7 on your model. Only Vista updates are available and if you have changed the operating system you will have to manually select and download any appropriate updates yourself.

If you go to the manual download page for updates available for your model, you will see that the last update was dated June 2010 and that was an update to Vaio Update 5.  The one before that was dated May 2009 and the others are even older.
