I'm currently attempting to use a Logitech Quickcam Messenger and/or a Doro 212IPC phone for VOIP to talk to friends over the net. Alas, according to the logitech website, there's apparently a massive issue with the SIS chipset in use on the VGC-M1, as it's unable to cope with the bandwith required to run the webcam/phone - after a few short moments of use, I get a BSOD and an automatic restart
I find this situation ridiculous really, that 2 such simple tasks cannot be completed on such a relatively new and up to date computer. Anybody have any possible solutions? The logitech website offered a potential one that may work, but required tweaking options in the BIOS that just aren't there to tweak.
I don't think there's much you can do, except look to another manufacturer.
Sorry, what kind of SIS chipset are u refering as? This VGC-M1 is using ASUS motherboard...
I'm using my logitech web cam with intergrated Microphone for my Voip connection ( or skype ). It doesn't give me any problem at all.. Funny...
Just let me know more about it.
