vgn-a215m blank dvds reading full

i have a vgn-a215m
when i put a blank disc in the drive and go to propertys on the drive it reads that the disc is 100% full and then i try to erase it wont do.:smileycry:

i am trying to make my recovery dvds and tells me to put a blank dvd into the drive when there is one already there.

i am useing philips dvd+rw 4 and tryed imation dvd+rw

i have got sonic with my vaio and that program writes and erases no probs

i have downloaded all the updates (also filmware updates)

please help

You need to use +R disks, it won't accept RW for writing those recovery DVDs.

Sony don't want you to blank the wrong disks.
