UPDATE - took laptop to work and plugged in to external screen and works perfect! So is there a problem with the LCD screen only? Done a little research and the display problems dont appear consistant with other people problems. The screen is blury and mouse scrolls across the screen very slowly! All programs and files are in tack, just the display appears faulty. Any ideas?

The graphics card is GeForce Go 7600 GPU - any known issues?
Battery appears dead but i assume as long as the power lead is attached this would not cause the display problem?
