VGN FE41S Buzzing noise

Hi

I don't know if this is a problem with the actual laptop or not. When I turn down the brightness of the screen either by using the power save option or by using the Vaio control centre, I get a buzzing noise after a while, which just gets louder and louder. It stops when you put the brightness back to full.

Any thoughts? Is there an easy fix or will I need a repair/replacement?

Laptop is a month old.

I couldn't tell you why it happens, but it's normal. My FS series does it too.

I get this too. I'd kept it on 'maximum' brightness, so the buzz on any other brightness level was quite a surprise... it happened about a week after machine purchase, so I was a bit concerned I had a defective one. The machine is an AR31s, but I never had this issue with my old A417m.

I remember reading something like this with another Vaio series, I think it may be worth contacting Vaio-Link for clarifiaction..
