VGN-NR21Z new ram not fully recognised???

hi all,

i just re formatted my Vaio VGN-NR21Z, previous to the re format i had upgraded the 3gb (factory installed) ram to 4gb and it had been working fine for over a year. my problem is that since the re format windows vista only shows that there is 3gb of ram on my vaio. it is not fully recognising the ram of 4gb which is in the system.

does anyone know how to resolve this issue, it would be greatly appreciated??? thanks

On your VAIO is preinstalled VISTA Home Premium 32bit. 32bit versions are able to use only 3GB of RAM. You probably used 64bit version before. Max amount of memory you can use on your VAIO is 4GB, but to be able to use mem over 3GB you need to use 64bit OS.
