VGN-S2XP DVD burner problem

Hello all, when I try to burn a data dvd with Sonic 7.21 it ends after 20-30seconds with an error message that says "there was a problem with writing to your disc. You can try again by clicking the retry button". I have tried that with multiple brand new dvds of different brands... nothing works...same error. DVD recognises DVDs with content and cds with content...so the reader function works... it is just the writer functionality that seems to cause problems. Has anyone has this problem before and do you have any suggestions. Thanks

Sounds like a fault with the laser.

You're best sending it in for repairs

def a fault with the drive
got my laptop friday
couldnt make recovery dvds
couldnt create normal dvds via nero
power calibration failure according to nero yet installation of programs are fine via it

going back thursday
